The main aim of the association is the development of the active participation of young people in civic, social, cultural and political life at a local, national, European and international level.

Therefore, the Association is committed to achieve the following goals:

A)the commitment for the realization of an intercultural, fair and welcoming Europe, under the perspective of acceptation of diversities;
B)to promote civic responsibility and active citizenship education;
C)to develop awareness, critical consciousness and competences in young generations;
D)to promote youth policies in every kind of form and dimension;
E)to provide cultural and political training to young people at European and at international level;
F)to promote youth mobility for cultural, educational and working experiences;
G)to support young artists performing figurative, theatrical and musical forms of art;
H)to enhance the free circulation of ideas and the diffusion of the open source software IT world;
I)to promote and develop non formal education activities.

Therefore, the main activities and initiatives are:

a)to realize intercultural projects, i.e international youth exchanges, twinning, international volunteering;
b)to participate at local, national and international youth representative bodies as youth forums or councils.
c)to provide national and regional community service, and employment in foreign projects under the regional, national and European legislation;
d)to create and to organize youth centers and structures for young people;
e)International projects for solidarity;
f)to develop and widen useful tools and programs to spread information as the creation and the management of information points or newsletters;
g)training courses, evaluation of intercultural activities, workshops, meetings, surveys and publications also at professional level;
h)artistic, social and cultural initiatives e.g events, shows, concerts, performances, screenings etc.;
i)to promote good communication practice through different available tools, such as the Web;
l)to collaborate with other stakeholders, also legal bodies that operate to achieve similar goals or related with those of AIM;
m)any other activities that can be useful to pursue social aims.
